Job Opening:

Sogno Design Group, a residential and small commercial architecture firm, seeks a good designer with people skills who wants to work in a small office in an engaging and collaborative design environment. We are looking for an architect with a professional degree in architecture and 4-8 years’ experience, interested in a long-term position. 

Our projects range in scale from bathroom remodels and residential additions to a light industrial live/work development. We focus on solid relationships with our clients and work in close collaboration with builders and consultants. We encourage the use of green technologies and methods, and local and salvaged materials.

The position will involve participation in all phases of design and project management as well as production of complete sets of construction documents and construction details as needed. 

Requirements for the position include:

-A practical understanding and awareness of structure and construction.

-A thorough knowledge of AutoCAD (Architectural Desktop preferred).

-Ability to read and coordinate with structural drawings.

-Strong verbal and writing skills.

-Strong design skills. 

The position is ideally full time (this is negotiable), flexible hours, and is available immediately.
